Animal Therapists

Here at WOW, animals are an essential part of our wellness team. Connecting with and caring for animals offers numerous benefits, including providing a sense of purpose, teaching new skills, and promoting relaxation. Just being around animals can help individuals open up and communicate more effectively with each other. Caring for animals can provide a sense of fulfillment, help build relationships, and serve as a welcome distraction from personal issues.

Did you know....Goats are well-suited for therapy because they recognize human emotions and faces, and they have a personality that's a mix between a cat and a dog.

The human-animal bond is a truly remarkable and mutually beneficial relationship that greatly impacts our mental, physical, and social well-being.

Reciprocity with animals  highlights the idea that we can benefit from each other through a state of mutual exchange. It emphasizes the importance of giving back to animals as much as we receive from them, creating a harmonious and fulfilling relationship.

Interconnectedness with animals reminds us that we are all interconnected in a larger ecosystem. It emphasizes the idea that all living beings are dependent on each other, and that we have a responsibility to care for one another.
