Widen Your Wings
Cultivating Women´s Empowerment and Influence
October 10–17, 2026 | Guatemala
From the sacred mountains of Juyu Ya’ to the crystalline waters and caves of Semuc Champey, this retreat is a pilgrimage into remembrance, empowerment, and sisterhood. This retreat is an inclusive space for all who experience the world as women.
From October 10th to the 14th, we will gather at Juyu Ya’ — the sacred Water Mountain sanctuary nestled in the mystical forests of Cerro Alux, Guatemala — where we will begin the deeper inner work through ceremony, healing practices, teachings, and intentional community.
On October 14th, we journey together to Semuc Champey to continue and anchor the work initiated at Juyu Ya’. There, surrounded by the living wisdom of water, caves, and ancient earth energies, we will spend two nights immersed in ritual, exploration, and transformation, including visits to the sacred caves of Lanquín and the groves of Rey Marcos. Every place on this journey has been chosen with intention, carrying teachings and medicine meant to awaken, strengthen, and guide us.

Purify
The Temazcal (from the Nahuatl word temazcalli, meaning “house of steam”) is an ancient Mesoamerican purification ceremony. .
We are pleased to provide you with the incredible opportunity to experience the ancient Mesoamerican ritual of a temazcal purification ceremony.
Traditionally built as a round, womb-like structure, it represents the living womb of Mother Earth—a sacred space where we return to the origins of life, to be cleansed, renewed, and reborn. Within this warm and protective embrace, heated volcanic stones are infused with water and medicinal herbs, creating the steam that carries the medicine of the ceremony. The Temazcal is far more than a steam bath. It is a ceremony of remembrance, release, and rebirth. Guided by Nan Vivi, we enter the sacred womb of Mother Earth, a dark and warm space where the distractions of the outside world dissolve and only truth remains. Heated volcanic stones, medicinal plants, prayer, song, drum, and rattles accompany us on a journey inward, inviting us to listen deeply to ourselves and to Life. As the pores of the skin open, we begin to sweat. Yet in ancestral understanding, we are more than a physical body. We are body, soul, and spirit. Therefore, what leaves us in the heat is not only water and minerals. The Temazcal invites the release of fear, grief, exhaustion, anger, old stories, inherited burdens, and all that no longer serves our highest path. The body releases, and the soul releases with it. Within the darkness of the womb, we pray, sing, and honor the Grandmothers, the Four Directions, and the sacred forces of Life. Through ceremony, the cleansing is amplified. The songs become a thread guiding us through the unknown. The drum becomes a heartbeat reminding us that we are held. The rattles become the voice of the ancestors, encouraging us to continue when we reach the edges of our comfort and certainty. The heat itself is medicine. It gently brings us to a threshold where the mind can no longer control every experience. In that surrender, something beautiful happens: the spirit rises. What begins as a challenge becomes a rite of passage. The old self softens. The old story loosens its grip. Something new begins to emerge. For women gathering to heal the feminine lineage, this journey holds even deeper meaning. Together, we enter the womb. Together, we release what is ready to be left behind. Together, we allow ourselves to be transformed. And together, we are reborn. When the door opens and light returns, we emerge not as the women who entered, but as women who have crossed a threshold. We leave behind what is old and step into a new relationship with ourselves, our gifts, our ancestors, and our future. Afterward, we are blessed with healing waters infused with sacred medicinal plants grown at Juyu Ya’ and carried through generations of Maya wisdom. Some plants offer protection, others beauty, others strength, clarity, sweetness, or spiritual cleansing. Their fragrance and medicine welcome us back into the world, embraced by the loving hands of the Earth. One of the greatest gifts of the Temazcal is that no woman walks out alone. Having shared the same womb, the same songs, the same prayers, and the same rebirth, we emerge as sisters. Sisters of the womb. Sisters of the heart. Spiritual sisters who will continue walking together long after the ceremony has ended. The Temazcal reminds us that transformation is not something we achieve. It is something we surrender to. And when we do, Life receives us anew.

Nuture and Awaken
Womb Massage
Mayan womb massage, also known as sobadas de matriz, is a non-invasive, external therapeutic technique that targets the abdomen, pelvic region, and lower back
We are privileged to receive care from Mayan Grandmother and Curandera, Nan Tomasa. During womb massage, she focuses on gently repositioning organs, enhancing lymphatic circulation, and releasing stored emotional or energetic tension. In this tradition, the womb is regarded as a physical, emotional, and energetic center.
Connection to the Sacral Chakra: The sacral chakra, known in Sanskrit as Svadhisthana, is the body's energetic center of creation, emotions, and intuition. It is located in the lower abdomen, within the womb space. When unprocessed emotions, past trauma, or physical restrictions cause congestion in the pelvis, the sacral chakra can become blocked, leading to creative blocks, guilt, shame, or physical pelvic tension. Mayan womb massage aids in clearing these blockages.
This sacred care is a blessing in every stage of life .

The sacred utilization of mind-expanding ceremony serves as potent gateways to the nervous system, facilitating the restructuring and enhancement of neural plasticity. This allows for the reshaping of brain cells and pathways, leading to the emergence of novel pathways that foster insight and the ability to embrace change. We carefully consider the mental states of participants as we collaboratively establish an ideal internal setting for delving into consciousness within a nurturing natural environment. We celebrate and respect the blessings of these ceremonies. Participation in these offered ceremonies is not a requirement to attend this retreat. Your empowered choice is supported and celebrated.
